The Omega is built with a very robust and durable frame especially to withstand demanding and severe involuntary movements, ensuring a safe and relaxed seated position.
The horizontally and vertically sculpted back and contoured seat provide excellent midline stability and support, essential for feeding, breathing and social interaction.
Comfort – reducing the risk of pressure injury
Intelligent Air cushioning works using air displacement technology. A series of technical pressure relief valves ensures a thin layer of air, increasing the surface area and so reducing pressure. It also provides very important postural repositioning by increasing or decreasing air throughout the cells, allowing the air displacement to keep the patient in the optimal seating position – reducing the risk of pressure injury.
Customisation and personal adjustment
The Omega’s gas-linked system ensures that as the back angle reclines, the seat angle increases to guarantee a consistently good seated position without affecting the front seat height.
The pivoting seat at the front edge retains important knee to floor height and there is a detachable foot block. And, of course, we will tailor the chair to individual needs with various back height, seat width, and length options.
