Commitment to achieving Net Zero
Premiere Healthcare Limited is committed to achieving Net Zero emissions by 2040.
Baseline Emissions Footprint
Baseline emissions are a record of the greenhouse gases that have been produced in the past and were produced prior to the introduction of any strategies to reduce emissions. Baseline emissions are the reference point against which emissions reduction can be measured.
Baseline Year: 01 January 2023 to 31 December 2023

Emissions reduction targets
In order to continue our progress to achieving Net Zero, we have adopted the following carbon reduction targets:
- We project that carbon emissions will decrease by 25% by the end of 2030 e., *** tCO2e. We aim to achieve a:
- 50% Scope 1 decrease in emissions by 2035 e., *** tCO2e. 40% Scope 2 decrease in emissions by 2040 i.e.,*** tCO2e.
- 25% Scope 3 decrease in emissions by 2040 e.,*** tCO2e.
- We aim to achieve Net Zero by 2050.
Carbon Reduction Projects
In 2024 we will aim to implement further measures such as:
Reducing our premises footprint
- Continued energy efficiency measures across the property portfolio
- Switch to renewable energy where reasonable terms are
- Reducing waste to landfill through in-house recycling of packaging and the initiatives of our waste contractors.
- Install PVC curtains to contain heat within warehouses when external shutter doors are
- Upgrade our current 2x washing machines and 2x dryers to a larger modern energy efficient capacity single washer and a single dryer.
- Switch to low temperature detergent and de-stainer liquids – reducing our standard wash temperature from 60°c to 30°c
- Upgrade warehouse lighting systems from halogen & fluorescent fittings to LED units with PIR switching to turn of lighting when spaces are unoccupied.
- Upgrade the 20+ year-old gas powered air heating systems in the warehouse with modern energy efficient climate control systems.
Reducing emissions from business travel
- Reducing emissions from business travel by planning appointment times I dates in close locations to minimise mileage driven where possible
- Review the electrification of our fleet upon expiry of current leases / where appropriate
Influencing emissions reductions in our supply chain
- We recognise that we have limited control over our scope 3 emissions as over 80% is associated with product we buy and re-sell. We intend to engage with our supply chain to drive down the emissions and work with their specific data when it becomes available (rather than national/ general data).
- Addressing “hot spots” in our supply chain g. encourage bulk deliveries where appropriate.
- Developing specific Scope 3 reduction targets aligned with net zero ambition
Governance, capacity building and culture
- Launch new emission reduction initiatives for all our businesses
- Responsible business training for all employees, including carbon reduction plan
