What happens during a seating assessment?

We pride ourselves on making sure your specialist seating assessment is a relaxing experience.

During your appointment, an experienced seating specialist will establish which of our products is the best fit, chatting to you about the pressure care and support you require, the method of transfer, and where the seating will be used.

They’ll also consider your overall health and personal needs, all to ensure the best possible seating solution.

All of our assessors are vaccinated and highly trained, offering impartial and expert advice, with no obligations or strings attached.

Pre-assessment questionnaire

When you make the appointment for your assessment, we’ll go through a pre-assessment questionnaire over the phone.

It will take around 5 minutes and give us a good picture of what you need and why you need it.

If you are in the possession of a specialist chair already and wish to rejuvenate its comfort and safety, our assessment team can discuss options for a detailed 7-point specialist chair health check as part of our servicing packages, or for a deeper clean we recommend our decontamination service.

Assessments with the personal touch

Face-to-face assessments

Our in-person seating assessments are tailored entirely to your physical and logistical needs.

A seating assessment specialist will visit your care setting at a pre-arranged date and time, bringing with them a range of chairs that has been identified to be most suitable to the requirements of the patient.

All assessors are equipped with the latest Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and fully trained on health and safety best practices.

Virtual assessments

For patients who are harder to reach or for friends and family who wish to virtually join a face-to-face assessment, we offer an online assessment which is as detailed and thorough as a physical assessment.

Our expert assessors will have prepared a range of options to view, while providing detailed descriptions and advice on the most relevant seating options, along with their benefits, accessories and maintenance guidelines.

Whichever platform you prefer – from FaceTime to Zoom – simply book an appointment for a thorough discussion of your needs and product demonstration with our expert assessors.

Follow-up care & flexible rental

We want you to be delighted with your specialist seating. So, following your assessment, Premiere Healthcare offers a range of options to make sure you get the maximum benefit from your new chair and the financial package that makes sense.

If a purchase isn’t the best option for you, be sure to ask about our flexible rental service.

Meanwhile, once you have your new seating installed in the comfort of your own home, our team will be available to join you for a second video call, where we’ll ensure the chair is set up for optimum comfort.
