This week we caught up with one of our Assessors, Charlotte Jeffes, who covers Gloucestershire, Oxfordshire, Bristol, Bath and North East Somerset, Wiltshire, West Berkshire and Hampshire.
How long have you been working in this sector and in this particular role?
Before starting to work for Premiere Healthcare, I worked in the food industry so a complete change of sector but have now been working at Premiere Healthcare for 3 ½ years.
What do you love most about your job?
I love meeting lots of fascinating people. It’s amazing to be able to supply equipment that can make a really big difference to the quality of people’s lives. Being a white van lady is pretty cool too.
What is the most challenging part of your job?
Lugging heavy equipment around especially the riser recliner chair. Don’t challenge me to an arm wrestle as I’m surprisingly strong.
Why is Premiere Healthcare different from it’s competitors?
I love working for Premiere Healthcare because we supply equipment from a selection of different manufacturers – making us completely independent. We will always try and select the chair/sling/equipment that is best suited to the individual. Premiere Healthcare can also offer the full package with a decontamination unit and full team of engineers.
What do you enjoy doing outside of work
I am a keen horse rider and specialise in eventing. I am competing pretty much every weekend. I live on a farm in Tetbury with my three horses Humphrey, Jack and Ben and 3 working cocker spaniels Molly, Dock and Sky. That keeps my time outside of work extremely busy.
What is your guilty pleasure when you’re driving in the van?
Blueberry Muffins! With all the hard work I have to stop for regular snack breaks as I get hungry very quickly. Also listening to music too loud on the radio and singing along… It is only when I turn up at a visit that I realise how loud I’ve had it!
